Licensed Massage Therapist
Joan has been licensed since 2006. It has been her goal to make a difference for people in a natural way with little side effects. When she learned about the massage profession, she was intrigued by the hands-on approach. In receiving her first massages, she loved the personal touch to wellness and could feel the rewarding results in her own body. As a profession, it's even more rewarding to see the positive results in her clients. She believes in the importance of educating clients in postural awareness, how-to increase strength to prevent further injury, and overall self-care.
The modalities she most enjoys are Swedish/relaxation, hot stone, aromatherapy, treatment massage (including trigger point and PNF).
In her free time, she enjoys beautiful scenery around the Northwest by walking, hiking and biking. Or, water activities, such as kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding.
